Meet the new President of

AFA Houston, San Jacinto Chapter 233

Colonel Rodney L. Horn

In elections held aboard ship during the annual Harbor Lites Cruise, Colonel Rodney L. Horn was elected our new president replacing Bob Kjar who has served for the past two years. Colonel Horn brings a wealth of command and management experience to AFA Houston. He currently serves as Vice Commander, 147th Reconnaissance Wing, Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base, Houston. Rodney brings a long history of military traditions to the AFA leadership table. He was born in Shreveport, LA to an Air Force family and spent the majority of his childhood overseas as a military brat. His great, great grandfather served with Union forces during the Civil War, his uncle served in the Army Air Corps and his father was career Air Force, retiring in 1970. His family military traditions follow much along the lines of a General Douglas MacArthur and a John McCain with service over a long period of our country’s history. His leadership is just what we need in this time of struggle for freedom, democracy and the maintenance of aerospace power in our modern world. As members, we are proud to serve with him as the all volunteer “Force Behind The Force”.
